The local marketing landscape has changed dramatically in recent years. The Internet is no longer a secondary component of a successful marketing plan; nowadays a successful local business must put online branding at the forefront of their marketing focus. Leading the way when it comes to Internet marketing are your online reviews and reputation.

I understand that taking time out of your busy patient schedule is a hassle to accumulate reviews. Unfortunately, there is no easy way around it in a consumer driven society, which is constantly looking for verifiable proof of quality and expertise when making buying choices.

Did you know that a recent survey found that 84% of consumers trust online reviews as much as personal, word-of-mouth recommendations? The days are gone when a referral from a referring dentist was all you needed to build your practice. Also, 50% of people surveyed regularly read online reviews to determine whether a local business is good or bad. With so much traffic and trust coming from the Internet in 2017, business owners can no longer be "reactive instead of proactive" when it comes to their online brand to attract new patients.
